Viglione Antonio & Figli, past and present

In the Roero, area really prestigious and well known for grape growing and for wine production, the Winery Antonio Viglione grows 12 hectares of vines, on a hillside today known as “Rivetto” (originally it was called “Bricula”).

The entire area is dedicated to the growing of vine varieties from Piedmont: Nebbiolo on 2.5 ha, Arneis on 7 ha, Favorita on 1.5 ha and Barbera on the remaining surface.

The Winery is still managed by Antonio (Tonino) Viglione, who carries on with passion and an eye to the future the work started at the beginning of the 20th century by his forefathers.

Thanks to his experience and sensitivity, Antonio has gradually involved in the company other members of his family (his wife Lidia, his daughter Paola and his son-in-law Roberto), besides other precious and efficient co-workers. In the meantime, the new generation is coming on stage: his grandchildren Martina and Cristian will play key roles in the future.
